Privacy notice

What we collect

• What you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the topic and your message.
• A one-way coded (hashed) form of your internet (IP) address, used only to limit repeated submissions of the form, and deleted automatically.
• The standard technical logs that our website hosting provider keeps for every visit, such as the address and the browser used, for security and to keep the site running.

What we do not collect

This website uses no analytics, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. Its fonts are served from this website itself, so your visit is not reported to a font provider. Your browser keeps one small note that you have read the notice shown on your first visit, and nothing else.

Why we use it

To read and reply to your enquiry, to keep a record of the correspondence, to keep the website secure, and to meet any obligation the law places on the firm.

Consent, and withdrawing it

The enquiry form asks for your consent before it can be sent. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us; we will then stop using the data for that purpose, except where the law requires us to keep it.

How long we keep it

For as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry, and after that for any further period that the law requires.

Who it is shared with

Our email and website hosting providers process it on our behalf. It may be shared with the firm's professional advisers where needed, and with authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

In line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data of yours we hold and how it is used;
• correct, complete or update it;
• erase it, where it is no longer needed for its purpose or the law does not require us to keep it;
• deal with a grievance about how it has been handled;
• act on the instructions of a person you nominate, in the event of your death or incapacity.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a grievance, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Security

The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need them. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send confidential financial information, account numbers or identity documents through the form.

We may update this notice. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
